dc.description.abstractThe panelist will summarize activities targeting Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) activities in which U.S. EPA currently, or in the recent past, has been involved. The presentation will include summary information about: 1) rapid assessment surveys funded by U.S. EPA, 2) U.S. EPA participation in the Federal/Non-Federal Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force; 3) a U.S. EPA document that assists natural resource managers developing AIS rapid response and management plans, 4) a U.S. EPA-sponsored workshop on developing tools to estimate AIS economic impacts. The presentation will also touch on regulatory issues related to AIS prevention.en_US
