| dc.description.abstract | Bag seine samples were collected periodically in Texas bays during May 1961 May 1976. Catch rates of red drum (Sciaenops ocellatus), black drum (Pogonias cromis), spotted seatrout (Cynoscion nebulosus), southern flounder (Paralichthys lethostigma) and sheepshead (Archosargus probatocephalus) were compiled and recalculated as monthly and annual no./ha. Seasonal fluctuations in the catch rates of all species are similar to those presented in the published literature. These bag seine catch rate data can be used by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to enhance the post October 1977 bag seine data base. | en_US |
