Abstract
The purpose of the use attainability analysis is to provide the Texas Water Commission with a valid information source to make water quality standards and wastewater treatment decisions. To that end, the analysis identifies (1) the uses currently being achieved in the water body, (2) the causes and extent of use impairment, and (3) the potential uses that could be supported based on physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the water body and application of reasonable treatment technology.
