Abstract
This report describes the formation of a prototype GIS Data Dictionary for the Texas General Land Office Oil Spill Prevention and Response Program. The Data Dictionary is defined by the Texas Department of Information Resources as a source that provides a description of the information contained in a data coverage, e.g., format, definition, structure, and usage. Texas GIS contact lists, Data Dictionary Templates, and Data Dictionary standards and field descriptions are included as appendices in the report.
