dc.description.abstractThis report discussed the current status, distribution and trend toward extinction of the endangered Houston toad. Includes distribution maps, historical information and new data on distribution and population estimates. The species could not be located in Harris County where it was relatively common in the 1940's and early 50's. Official State of Texas population estimate for the species is 1500 individuals.en_US
