Ten-foot trawl samples in 1963 contained a lower crab catch by approximately 29.8 per cent compared to 1962 samples. The number of crabs per 15 minute drag reached a peak in April with 11.8 crabs per sample, while the 1962 peak was reached in May with 20.2 crabs per drag. Comparison of male and female crab samples indicate that female crabs were more abundant than male crabs during most of the year. Female crabs made up 78 per cent of the largest sample during the year.en
