dc.description.abstractOn December 16, 1993, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for major and area sources performing hard chromium electroplating, decorative chromium electroplating, and chromium anodizing. A total of 62 comment letters were received from industry, trade associations, regulatory agencies, and environmental groups during the public comment period. As a result of these comments, additional information was gathered, evaluated, and incorporated into the EPA's responses to the comments. The comments and responses are summarized in this document. The comments and additional information gathered are contained in the project docket and serve as the basis for the revisions made to the standards between proposal and promulgation.en
