Recent concern by the state of Texas over its coastal resources and accompanying development exposed the need for identifying current and past studies about this important geographical region. This bibliography is the result of collecting, reviewing, recording, annotating and classifying as many studies as could be found. Allowed to enter the study were all reports available in the usually accepted natural resource categories such as climate, wildlife, topography, soils, minerals, vegetative cover, and water. In order to make the study even more useful, additional categories were considered, such as space, location, cultural, historic, and landscape quality. All land uses, considering both developed and undeveloped land, were included. The time span begins with current studies and reaches back to and including 1950.en_US
