dc.description.abstractRainfall totals for 1975 were 7.60% (2.51 in) lower than those recorded in 1974 and ranged from 21.13 in. in Aransas Bay to 52.93 in, in Galveston Bay. Salinity values were 2.19% (0.5 o/oo) lower in 1975 than in 1974. Coastal water temperature monthly mean values ranged from 10.2 C in winter to 31.6 C in summer; turbidity monthly mean values ranged from 5.6 to 191.0 ppm; dissolved oxygen monthly mean values ranged from 3.9 to 12.0 ppm; ph values ranged from 6.8 to 8.6. Habitat modifications included maintenance dredging of existing channels, dredging of new channels, bulkheading, drilling of oil and gas wells and placement of pipelines.en_US
