Abstract
This research program was initiated to provide an estimate of the potential environmental effects arising from the development of geopressured-geothermal resources on the Gulf coast of Texas and Louisiana. This portion of the program described the physical resource and provides an annotated bibliography. The development of geopressured-geothermal resources along the Gulf coast of Texas and Louisiana for generating electrical power is being initiated. Resource evaluations for Texas and Louisiana are largely completed and a single test well is planned for Brazoria County, Texas.
