Two new genera of Aspidogasteridae from Pogonias cromis from the Texas coast, U.S.A.

Specimens (100) of Pogonias cromis (L.) were taken from 4 sites along the Texas Gulf coast from 1971 to 1973. These sites included Sabine Pass, Galveston Island, North Padre Island at Corpus Christi, and South Padre Island at Port Isabel. New genera Tyle pogoniae and Laterocotyle padreinsulae. T. pogoniae was found in 9% of the fish examined, and L. padreinsulae in 27%. A key to the genera of Cotylaspidinae is included.
