dc.description.abstract	This document contains a recent Agency report which reviews current knowledge of the use of both natural and constructed wetlands for municipal wastewater treatment and disposal, including the extent and circumstances of this practice, and summarizes the regulatory issues involved in response to a request by the Honorable Quentin H. Burdick, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Additional information and guidance concerning projects in which wetlands play a role in the treatment and disposal of municipal wastewater effluent more recently issued by the Office of Water to supplement the report is provided as an attachment to the original report.	en
