dc.description.abstractTrawl, trammel and seine collections were made monthly January-December, 1976, to determine distribution and abundance of macrocrustaceans and fish in the intake area and discharge waters of Houston Lighting & Power Company's Cedar Bayou Generating Station, Baytown, Texas. Hydrological data were taken at each sampling station. A total of 12 species of crustaceans and 53 species of fish was captured. The 10 most abundant species were brown shrimp, Penaeus aztecus, white shrimp, Penaeus setiferus, grass shrimp, Palaemonetes pugio, blue crab, Callinectes sapidus, Gulf menhaden, Brevoortia patronus, bay anchovy, Anchoa mitchilli, sea catfish, Arius felis, tidewater silverside, Menidia beryllina, spot, Leisotomus xanthurus, and Atlantic croaker, Micropogon undulatus.en_US
