This report is the result of the first of three studies completed by the Governor's Office of Information Services for the State of Texas Governor's Energy Advisory Council concerning the supply and demand for energy in the State of Texas. The focus of this report is on the historical production and use of energy, while the later reports treat projections of energy demands and impacts of changes in the energy industry's activities on the Texas economy.
