dc.description.abstractVerified reports of grass carp were collected from 1983 through 1987 from Texas coastal regions. One hundred and sixty-one fish were collected from 14 locations in and around the Galveston Bay system. Age was estimated from length data and ranged from seven to nine years. Water salinities at catch locations ranged from zero to nine parts per thousand. Origin of the grass carp collected could not be determined.en_US
