Field appraisal report for proposed marina and dredging at Clear Lake, Harris County, Texas.

Terrestrial communities of the proposed marina were highly modified, lower successional, and highly urbanized. Few terrestrial vertebrates, with the exception of common species such as starling (Sturnus vulgaris) and house sparrows (Passer domesticus) are likely to derive sustaining ecological benefits from the area as it presently exists. Neither the aquatic environment nor the organisms present at the site were particularly sensitive.
