Coastal Wetlands Acquisition Plan for Texas - Project Report

The Coastal Wetlands Acquisition Plan for Texas satisfies the State-owned Wetland Conservation Plan and the Coastal Wetland Acquisition Act by: (1) complementing existing wetland preservation programs; (2) creating the criteria and guidance for identifying and prioritizing coastal wetlands for state acquisition; (3) identifying and ranking general coastal wetland categories by region for acquisition; (4) identifying current and potential new funding sources for acquisition; and (5) helping satisfy the overall goal of no net loss of state-owned coastal wetlands.
