dc.description.abstractThis investigation has been designed to search out the reasons for the decline in oyster production during the past few decades, and to find means of rehabilitating the industry on the Texas coast. Experiments have been carried out to find new methods for increasing the size and rate of growth of oysters. A preliminary survey of the local bays was made for a good commercial source of edible clams.en
