dc.description.abstractThe report presents the findings of a feasibility-level study to determine the degree of Federal interest in maintaining the navigability of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) in the vicinity of Sargent Beach, Texas. This study was conducted under the Authority of Section 216 of the 1970 Flood Control Act. This Act provides for review of completed Corps of Engineers' projects for modification because of changes in physical or economic conditions. The study was conducted in accordance with the Water Resources Council's Economic and Environmental Principles and Guidelines for Water and Related Land Resources Implementation Studies, dated March 10, 1983.en
