Construction of an Artificial Oyster Reef - Oyster and Fisheries Investigations of Area M-5

Objectives: To build an experimental oyster reef in an area suitable for oyster production but where no natural reef exists at present. The artificial reef was built to supplement production and to check desirability of freshly opened shell as a reef building material and spat collector.
