Abstract

This report is a collection of coastal protection initiatives from across the country. The project summaries are separated into three areas: (1) Public Education and Outreach Approaches (citizen monitoring or storm drain stenciling); (2) Management Approaches (overlay zoning, transfer of development rights, wetland banking, and conservation easements), and; (3) Scientific and Technical Approaches (wetland wastewater treatment, viral transport, nitrogen loading, or flushing models).
