Abstract

This design memorandum presents the results of Phase I post authorization planning studies of the Clear Creek, Texas Flood Control project, a channel improvement project authorized in 1968. The objective of these studies have been to evaluate the previous findings and conclusions in light of current conditions and to reaffirm the authorized plan or formulate a suitable alternative. The results of these studies show that any effective plan for flood control on Clear Creek will involve some degree of channel enlargement and reactification. It is recommended that, subject to conditions of local coorperation as outlined in the report, the selected plan of improvement be approved for implementation.
