Abstract

This gives the environmental changes expected to take place when the Industrial Canal in Texas City Channel, Texas is widened. Construction plan information includes the frequency of maintenance dredging, the pollutant sampling program, the compliance with laws and regulations, and the benefit- to-cost ratio. The environmental setting without the project, the probable impact of the proposed action on the environment, and any probable adverse environmental effects which cannot be avoided are given. The relationship between local short-term uses of man's environment and the maintenance and enhancement of long-term productivity are shown through tables, figures, and appendixes.
