Item Community Response to Natural Hazard Warnings - Summary Final Report(University of Minnesota, 1981-04) Clark, John P.; Carter, T. Michael; Leik, Robert K.This report is a summary of the work accomplished, and of the major findings and recommendations, of a three year research project concerned with dissemination of and response to warnings of natural hazards. To keep this summary as concise and practical as possible, we will not provide much detail of analysis, but will concentrate on what was found and what those findings imply for improving current policies and practices. Similarly, the report will not contain a lengthy examination of prior work in this area or of the theoretical bases for our work. A book length report is also being prepared which will contain such details. It should be recognized that a summary report of such a large and complex project cannot contain elaborate analyses which pursue nuances of the data, but must focus on primary findings.Item Organizational and Household Response to Hurricane Warnings in the Local Community(Deparment of Sociology University of Minnesota, 1979) Carter, T.
