Clear Creek and its riparian zone provide habitat for recreationally and commercially important fishery species, migratory bird species, and provides outdoor recreational opportunities. As the values of native habitats of the Clear Creek watershed continue to be ignored during development, the potential for flooding and flood related damages along the Creek increases, lessening the long-term viability for Clear Creek to provide ecological and recreational benefits to the surrounding population.water qualityhabitatecologywatershed managementhabitatclear creekwatershedharrisgalvestonbrazoriafort bendriparian zonefisherymigratory bird speciesoutdoor recreational opportunitiesfloodingflood related damagesHabitat Changes in the Clear Creek (Texas) Watershed, 1995-2000Book
