Smith, J.C.2010-02-152010-02-151974http://hdl.handle.net/1969.3/197796 p.Materials were collected throughout the year to be incorporated into a rare and endangered species bulletin to be published in 1974. The most qualified individuals and organizations in Texas were quizzed concerning the status of each species as to its being endangered, rare, or status undetermined. Several interviews were conducted which determined preferences for best utilization of nongame and endangered species information. In order of preference they requested live specimens, films, slides, and printed materials. Several plans such as the Red Wolf Recovery Plan, falconry regulations, proposed Endangered Species Act of 1973, proposed H.B. 260, mountain lion bill, and treaty with Mexico protecting the crow were studied in detail and reports made accordingly.
