The shrimp was abundant in samples from Galveston Bay, Aransas Bay, and the Lower Laguna Madre. Slow growth of juveniles during April in upper coastal bays was attributed to low temperature. Many, however, were 70 to 80mm long by late May, because growth accelerated as bays warmed.penaeid shrimpbrown shrimpPenaeus aztecusgrowthmigrationsabundancesalinityshrimp fisheriesStudy of Texas Shrimp Populations, 1970Technical Report
