Quantitative sampling parameters included above-ground biomass (April and October), percent cover, number of live and dead stems, and height. Qualitative observations were made of marsh conditions, sediments, water regime and wildlife utilization. Overall, the control marsh exhibited a steady decline, with undetermined causes.
