The area of concern is in Galveston County between April Fool Point and Kemah, Texas. The best method of preventing bay shore erosion is thought to be the construction of a dumped rock and shell mound along the shore with the ground landward of the mound graded to a 1 on 4 slope and sodded. Between April Fool Point and Edwards Point, the top of the rock mound will be 5 feet above mean sea level; between Edwards Point and Kemah, it will be 3 feet above mean sea level.erosionerosion controlbeach erosionshore protectionBook
