This study was done to estimate the amounts and kinds of organisms captured during shrimping operations and to estimate the amounts discarded and times when most discarding occurred. P. aztecus, Callinectes sapidus, Micropogon undulatus, and Peprilus burti accounted for 67% by weight of the 115 species recorded.
