To address the issue of residential non-point source pollution, the Galveston County Extension Office developed the award-winning Galveston Bay Yards & Neighbors Program. This program educates homeowners on appropriate home and lawn care practices to reduce excess use of potential pollutants which may eventually end up in Galveston Bay.
