The program was initiated at thirty-five stations, nine (9) of which were in the Houston Ship Channel above Morgan Point. Sampling at these stations, plus four (4) others added in the bay proper, continued through October 1970. In March 1971, sampling was reinitiated at fifteen (15) stations, all in the bay proper.
