Schwartz taught Ocean and Coastal Law at The University of Houston Law Center for 7 semesters, Texas A&M University at Galveston for three semesters, and one semester at the University of Texas at Austin law school. Since 1981 he has served as a lobbyist, which includes lobbying for environmental projects and causes.
