Seventy-four weight-length and 28 length-length references were found. Not all estimates for a single species were the same among the references. Suitable regression equations were chosen for use by Texas fisheries managers based on sample size, distribution of sample lengths across the length range, geographic area sampled and sex, if relevant to the species. Factors affecting the weight-length and length-length relationships were also identified.marine fishsize distributionbibliographieslength-weight relationshipsAtlantic croakerMicropogon undulatusblack drumPogonias cromiscobiaRachycentron canadumdolphin fishCoryphaena hippurusgulf menhadenBrevoortia patronushardhead catfishArius felisking mackerelScomberomorus cavallapinfishLagodon rhomboidesred drumSciaenops ocellatared snapperLutjanus campechanussand troutCynoscion arenariussheepsheadArchosargus probatocephalussouthern flounderParalichthys lethostigmaSpanish mackerelScomberomorus maculatusspotLeiostomus xanthurusspotted seatroutCynoscion nebulosusstriped mulletMugil cephalusvermillion snapperRhomboplites aurorubensBibliography of weight-length and length-length relationships for 18 saltwater fishesBook
