The model provided construction expansion and approximate operating schedules for power plants and transmission lines that will minimize the system cost over a given planning horizon, while meeting all demands of the system for electrical energy. The model is applied to a regional electric utility system in Texas (using actual data). The results and conclusions are reported.en-USelectric utilitieslong range planningurban planningland useenergy developmentLong Range Planning in Electric Utility SystemsTechnical Report
