Siriella thompsonii, Anchialina typica, Amathimysis brattegardi, Pseudomma heardi and Mysidopsis furca are recorded from the western Gulf of Mexico for the first time. Species accounts include morphological and ecological information and distributional records. A preliminary zoogeographical comparison of the mysids of the northwestern and northeastern Gulf of Mexico indicates a richer fauna in the latter area.
