Red snapper, Lutjanus campechanus, king mackerel, Scomberomorus cavalla, and Spanish mackerel, S. maculatus, constituted the majority (78%) of the Gulf catch. Sand seatrout, Cynoscion arenarius; spotted seatrout, C. nebulosus, Atlantic croaker, Micropogonias undulatus; and kingfish, Menticirrhus sp., constituted the majority of the bay catch. Catch composition within the Gulf and bay varied greatly between party boats (less than or equal to 10 people) and headboats (> 10 people).; $finfish fisheriessport fishingLutjanus campechanusScomberomorus cavallamarine fishred snapperking mackerelAn estimate of harvest by the Texas charter boat fishery.Article
