The Corps of Engineers has made extensive studies concerning this project and this report provides information which the public will find useful. This status report is not an environmental statement as required by the National Environmental Policy Acto f 1969. However, the majority of the data presented in the report are from working papers that were being prepared for a draft environmental statement on the Trinity River Project, and some parts of the report are labeled in various ways to indicate they are part of an environmental statement or part of a proposed project.
