Until recently, few people were aware that America was anything but beautiful. The local incinerator and the city dump may have been considered eyesores, but they were hardly thought to be fit targets for the humor of the social satirist. The cartoons in this booklet show that the situation has changed. As our population increases and the availability of dumping sites decreases, we are at last becoming concerned about what we are going to do with our trash and what our trash is doing to our country.en_US
