Abstract

This document is Part II of a three-part report of hydrological and biological studies. The objective of the habitat description task was to define the areal extent of the various shallow-water habitats in the Trinity River Delta through the use of photogammetric techniques and appropriate ground-level validation. The objectives of the primary production evaluation were: (1) to estimate net production of periphyton in the lower delta; (2) to estimate vascular plant net production in the Trinity Delta by harvesting abovegound standing crop on two occasions at four locations; and (3) to estimate belowground biomass by sampling on one occasion.
