Abstract
This article focuses on the effects of the EEZIA (Exclusive Economic Zone Implementation Acts) on the Magnuson Act, analyzing the effects of the proposed legislation from the standpoint of international law. The analysis concentrates on the internationally recognized bases for the extension of the United States fisheries jurisdiction off its coast, including the legal questions raised by the proposed limitation on the rights of foreign fishermen in the exclusive economic zone.
