Abstract
The purpose of this report is to summarize the status and trends in the Gulf coastal environments with respect to the effects of nutrient enrichment. Identifiable effects of nutrient enrichment include such direct effects as increases in nutrient concentrations (particularly N and P), loads and seasonal delivery and changes in nutrient rations. This report also includes information on the biological responses and indirect effects such as algal blooms and fish kills.
