Abstract
This report summarizes results of efforts across the Nation to identify, report, and assess the causes of fish kills in coastal rivers, streams, and estuarine waters between 1980 and 1989. The location, extent, severity, timing, and cause of over 3,600 fish-kill events are documented. Data are shown for the 22 states bordering the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and Pacific coasts.
