Abstract
The shrimp fishery of the United States is the most valuable fishery in the country. Numerous changes are occurring in this fishery which have significant economic and management implications. The purpose of this paper is to describe the important trends in the industry with special reference to the Gulf of Mexico shrimp fishery.
