Abstract
This report presents the results of Phase I post authorization planning studies of the authorized Mouth of Colorado River, Texas project. The primary purpose of the authorized project is to provide safe and dependable navigation between the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW). The objectives of the Phase I studies have been to reevaluate the previous findings and conclusions in light of current conditions and to confirm the authorized plan or formulate a suitable alternative. These studies have resulted in the reformulation of the authorized project.
