Instability of San Luis Pass and erosion of east side of the pass.

The present study had two objectives: (1) To locate and evaluate all existing data pertaining to San Luis Pass and West Galveston Island. To obtain field data necessary for analysis of the hydraulic characteristics of the Pass, and (2) To recommend possible solutions to protect the west abutment of Vacek bridge at San Luis Pass and to reduce or eliminate erosion of the West Galveston Island beach in the vicinity of San Luis Pass. Several alternatives were to be considered.
