Abstract
Results of research on the composition and nutritive values of seafoods, the processing difficulties encountered with shrimp, and methods for the removal of pesticide residues from seafoods are described. Microbiological studies on microorganisms of public health significance and Salmonella in fishery products are presented, as are the results of the survey of the Gulf of Mexico for the presence of Clostridium botulinum. Other activities of the Laboratory staff are acknowledged as are the staff publications for fiscal year 1966.
