Abstract

On July 5, 1985 numerous fish were dying in the Trinity River. The fish in this area were stressed and dead fish were found. An investigation was conducted using dissolved oxygen, temperature, ammonia-nitrogen, and conductivity sampling in twenty-one stations.An estimated total of 184,050 fish were killed in this area, consisting of catfish, smallmouth buffalo, carp, and other species of fish.
