Abstract
The greatest number of engineering projects appraised in Fiscal Year 1964 for their potential effect upon the fisheries of Texas are to be located near large population centers, with one-third scheduled for construction in or near the Galveston estuary. Analysis indicated that commercial fisheries in Texas coastal waters are capable of expanding to a maximum potential at 435 million pound if tributary discharge to the estuaries were not significantly altered.
