Economic Development Plan for the Gulf Coast Region

This is the annual update of the Economic Development Plan (EDP). The EDP is the planning document for the Gulf Coast State Planning region, and is the central document for the region's Overall Economic Development Program (OEDP). The primary goal of the EDP is to develop a method of identifying and correcting economically distressed areas within the region. The Plan accomplishes this by: describing the needs and resources of the region; identifying the economic development goals and objectives; presenting the strategies and action plans to achieve the regional goals; and outlining the standards for evaluating the program achievements.
